Student of the week
Edie Boyce exemplifies the compassionate student, always respectful to adults and looking out for her fellow student. I am impressed by Edie’s heart for others, she really cares about her classmates and goes out of her way to help them out. Outside of the classroom Edie plays volleyball and enjoys making things with her hands, working with media from clay to wood.

I chose Jade for student of the week because she exemplifies the Jesuit pillars of being open to growth and committed to doing justice. She is always open and looking to learn new things, and engage her brain in different ways. This is clear from when she is talking to her friends or participating in after school clubs like book club and academic decathlon. She is also one you can count on if you need help with anything. She often stays after school to help clean the classroom and organize materials. For open house, I was not surprised when she volunteered to help make the classrooms look their best. She is a very friendly and helpful student - if you see her in the hallways, say hi! :)
Are you passionate about your career and willing to share your experience with students? If so, please volunteer for the 2017 MCHS Career Day!
We’re using a different format this year: we’ll be having folks set up with tables rather than giving short presentations. Representatives from all career fields are welcome!
Tuesday, April 4, 2017 12 – 2 p.m.
