Here are a few designated giving opportunities that directly benefit our students, staff, and facilities as the end of the year approaches:​
  • Nancy Hanson Tuition Fund: Support students in need of financial assistance to continue their education at Monroe. 
  • Teacher Salary Fund: Help us continue to attract and retain exceptional educators by supporting our efforts to increase teacher salaries.
    • Your donation directly contributes to ensuring our dedicated teachers are compensated for their hard work and commitment to our students’ success.
  • Gym Bleacher Replacement Fund: Contribute to the replacement of the gym bleachers.
    • Your donation will help provide a safer, more comfortable seating experience for our students, families, and community members who attend athletic events and school activities.
  • School Facility Repair and Maintenance Fund: Contribute to the upkeep and improvement of our school facilities, including repairs to roofing, windows, carpeting, paint, and furniture.
    • Your support ensures a safe, functional and welcoming environment for our students and staff.
  • First-Class Forever Stamps: Help cover the cost of mailing and outreach efforts by donating First-Class Forever Stamps.
    • These stamps enable important communications and materials to be sent to our community and supporters without incurring additional postage costs.  
  • Donor Advised Funds (DAFs): An efficient and tax-advantageous way to contribute to our foundation.
    • To qualify for a charitable deduction in this tax year, your distribution must be received by December 31, 2024.
  • Monroe Foundation Endowment: Help ensure long-term sustainability and growth for our programs. 
Important Year-End Giving Deadlines:
  •  Gifts of Mutual Funds or Special Securities (tendered stock or restricted stock): Initiate by Monday, December 2, 2024.
  •  Gifts of Appreciated Stock: Initiate by Friday, December 13, 2024.
  •  Cash Wire Transfers: Must be initiated no later than Tuesday, December 24, 2024.
  • Checks via Private Carriers (FedEx, UPS, DHL): Must be physically received at Monroe Foundation, INC, on or before Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
    •  Checks via U.S. Postal Service: Must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
      • Any checks postmarked after this date will be recorded as a gift made in 2025.  
  • Credit Card Gifts: May be made through 11:59 p.m. Alaska Standard Time on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, via our online giving page at: Giving - Catholic Schools of Fairbanks.

IMPORTANT: Under IRS rules, IRAs may not make charitable distributions to a Donor Advised Fund (DAF). If you are considering a gift from an IRA, please do not direct your IRA custodian to send a distribution to your DAF, as it may be treated as a taxable distribution to you.
