A lot can happen in 19 years. Just ask Dan Foreman. Since high school, Dan has been very busy. He attended Gonzaga University in Spokane and the University of Idaho where he graduated with a BS in Biology. After five years working as a firefighter/EMT in Northern Idaho, he returned to pharmacy school. While working in retail pharmacy, Dan met his wife, Courtni. He proposed in 2010, and after an “excessively long 16-hour engagement,” the couple was married.
In addition to tying the knot, Dan joined the military in 2010. Since then, he’s been stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He has deployed to both Qatar and Afghanistan. Dan is currently stationed at Redson Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, where he is assigned to the 308th Military Intelligence Battalion as the commander of the MI Detachment. Dan spent a few years powerlifting and earned several awards. But, most recently, he was reunited with his true passion: hockey. “I didn’t realize how much I missed it,” he said. Dan enjoys hockey so much, he encouraged his two daughters Hannah (6) and Emily (4) to don skates. It’s becoming a family affair. Dan attributes his love of hockey to his years at Monroe. “It’s one of my fondest memories,” he reminisced, “Aside from a broken leg, I enjoyed some amazing times on and off the ice with Niles Schumacher, Jay Johnson, Merrick Patton, Amy Colletta, and Colleen O’Bryant.” |
