More information will be coming soon. ![]() The 3rd through 6th grade will have ITBS Testing beginning on Monday, April 3rd through Thursday, April 6th. ![]() Our 7th-11th graders will be participating in standardized testing on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Testing room assignments will be posted here at school for the students on Monday. As in years past, we’ll not allow students to use calculators. After discussion with Mr. Riggs, we’ll also not be allowing students to have their iPads out at during break time or if they finish a particular testing section early - it’s too distracting for students who are still testing. Instead, students should bring a book, some doodling, or some homework to work on if they finish a section early. MCHS utilizes test results to inform instruction, monitor student growth over time, compare student performance with national groups, and evaluate programs and effectiveness of curricular changes. Test results do not have an impact on a student’s grades and/or their ability to move on to the next grade level. The school will receive test scores at the end of May. These scores will indicate how your student performed on the tests compared with students across the nation in the same grade. Discuss the test results with your student, and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me :) Thank you very much for encouraging and supporting your student during testing. peace, Annie Krause, M. Ed. - AMDG - ![]() Selina Ellanna is one of the most dedicated science students I've ever had, either at the high school or collegiate level. She is always trying to understand information presented to her on the highest level. Selina comes to class with a professional and positive attitude, loaded with questions and ideas. Helpful, insightful, and armed with a wry sense of humor, a class with Selina is always fun. She is a well-organized and hard-working scientist in the making who has a great career ahead of her in the sciences. Mr. DiTommaso ![]() Maura Grahek is a pleasure to have in class. Conditioning class requires a willingness to work hard on a consistent basis. Maura is easily one of the better athletes I have had in class, male or female. I greatly appreciate her consistent daily effort. As a teacher I very much appreciate her quiet competitiveness and desire to do her best at all times. Maura shows not only great effort in class, but also showed great courage and selflessness this year by playing basketball. Maura certainly seems to understand that excellence is not a once in a while decision, but a daily choice. I also appreciate Maura’s personality. She has the ability to take a joke well and is willing to deliver one back right away. Students like Maura make teaching enjoyable every day.
