MONROE Alumni: Virtual Meetup Tonight @ 7 p.m.

Today, we will host our first ever virtual alumni meetup at 7 p.m. Alaska Time. This is an informal gathering to touch bases and celebrate what you, Monroe Catholic High School alumni, have been up to. Google Meetup Link: meet.google.com/mvt-wjqp-xev. (Link will be live at 6:45 p.m. tonight.)

Meetup Agenda:

• 7 p.m. - Brief school updates followed by alumni updates
• 7:15 p.m. - Presentation by Dr. Ribar on the benefits of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) and tips for general wellness during the winter months.
• 7:30 p.m. - Q & A 
• 7:45 p.m. - Closing comments

Alumni Meetup Host and Presenter

Cass (Cerny) Ferree, Class of '01
​Cass has been with the Monroe Foundation development office for over six years. In addition to coordinating the annual HIPOW Auction & Dinner, she manages marketing and special projects for the schools. In her free time, she teaches business classes at the UAF Community & Technical College. Cass is a travel and outdoor enthusiast. In fact, she is one of those crazy people you see biking around Fairbanks at -10F. She's joined on her adventures by her husband Nick and two daughters.

Dr. Jennifer Ribar, DO, Class of '06
Following in the footsteps of her grandfather, Dr. Joseph Ribar, Sr., Jennifer chose to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Ribar received her undergraduate degree from Adams State University in Colorado and went on to medical school at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Washington. She came back to Fairbanks to practice Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) at Tanana Valley Clinic where she treats a variety of conditions including low back pain, headaches, sports injuries, pregnancy related pain, and a variety of ailments in children including feeding difficulties in newborns, torticollis, and colic. She volunteers at CSF by helping to run the scoreboard or score books at volleyball and basketball games with her father, Joseph Ribar, Jr., (MCHS class 1968) and reading in the grade school (when the reading program is active).
