Dear CSF Parents/Guardians,
Thank you for your attention to our recent communication about COVID-19 and the intentional steps we are taking to provide the most reasonable response as this continues to unfold. Our CSF Administrative team has met regularly throughout this past week to assess incoming information and align our practice with the information from the experts. While Catholic Schools of Fairbanks does not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19 at this time, we are taking preventative measure by extending our Spring Break through March 20, 2020 and beginning Distance Delivery of academic content on March 23, 2020. The school building will remain closed through at least March 27th. We we will keep you informed as we continue to monitor the situation and best practices related to COVID-19.This decision was made through thoughtful discernment of administration and the timeframe aligns with the 14 day incubation period of the virus. Academics: CSF is preparing for distance delivery of content and we are confident in our students’ ability to continue learning with the tools they will be provided and the support of our dedicated faculty. Specific information and expectations for students related to distance learning will be forthcoming from our administrators. CSF Sports & Clubs: All CSF athletic practices, CSF clubs (ICS and MHS), and meetings/gatherings are suspended until further notice. General Reminders:
We realize the tremendous burden this process and timeline places on our families. I ask that we, as a school community, proceed with faith in God and one another. Sincere Blessings, Amanda B. Angaiak Director of Schools Catholic Schools of Fairbanks |
