Students of the week: Elizabeth Brockman and Trevor Christian While both of these students are vastly different from one another, they share a similar quality: The ability to work hard. Students often anticipate their own success (or failure) based on talent and skill. While those are valuable assets, the ability to work hard is the most underrated. Those who work hard are always the most consistent performers. Everyday, regardless of what sport we are playing, I know that Elizabeth and Trevor will always give me their best effort. Most students fear being uncomfortable because it’s “hard” and unfamiliar. Students like Elizabeth and Trevor are often the first to overcome their inexperience. The skill of being able to work hard propels them past others who may be more talented. They are the type of people who sustain success over the long run. Matt Martino/PE Teacher
