Student of the Week

Over the last two years I have had the pleasure of getting to know Kaleigh DeLeon as a student and an athlete. Kaleigh not only excels in the classroom but she also excels in cheerleading. Kaleigh shows a passion for history and often asks many thought provoking questions regarding our content. Kaleigh is always paying attention and helps contribute to a successful classroom environment. All of her assignments and projects have exceeded my expectations. Kaleigh is not only a great student but a tremendous athlete. Kaleigh has taken on the role as the Junior High Cheer captain by leading games and being a positive role model for younger girls on the squad. Although Kaleigh is very serious during game time, she is sensitive and fun loving at practice. Kaleigh took the opportunity to style all of the cheerleader’s hair for the Valdez tournament each morning. I have seen enormous growth in Kaleigh as a student and a leader.
