Thea Puryear-Student of the Week 10/3/2016

I have recommend Thea Puryear for Student of the Week . Thea demonstrates both in her words and actions that she is a well-rounded Monroe senior. Academically , she excels at intellectual competence through being both diligent in attending to her assignments and for thoughtful participation in the classroom. When class discussions are happening, Thea’s wisdom serves to provide another perspective that is on-point and serves to keep the exchange of ideas on topic.   I have also observed her outside of the classroom and am struck by her sense of leadership that comes from a place of humility. Thea is always willing to help out and thus, by her example, we are privy to a genuine servant-leader. Thea is a gift to our school and therefore, I recommend her for Student of the Week.
