Monroe 1:1 iPad Information
Students at the Catholic Schools of Fairbanks in Grades 7-12 have an assigned iPad that they are able to take home. Students in Grades 1-5 also have an assigned iPad, but these remain at school. 6th grade students are allowed to take their iPad home on a case-by-case basis. PreK and Kindergarten students access iPads from a shared cart as requested by their teacher.
All 7th grade students & all 10th grade students receive a new brand new iPad, case/keyboard, & Logitech crayon/Apple Pencil at the beginning of the school year. The new iPad is intended to remain assigned to the same student for three years of their time at Monroe. After three years of technology fees ($300/year) have been paid, the iPad is removed from the school's system and belongs to the student's family.
In the spring, families of rising 10th graders students may elect to upgrade from the standard iPad/Logitech crayon to an iPad Air/Apple Pencil by paying an additional, one time technology fee of $300.
