Volunteer at HIPOW
Dessert Auction Volunteer to bring a dessert on October 12. HIPOW wouldn't be possible without hundreds of dedicated volunteers. We thank you for generously donating your time. This year's event is Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12.
Waitstaff (Saturday) - 5:15 p.m. until ? (Two Shifts Available) This committee serves Saturday’s formal dinner and assists in the kitchen. You wear a white shirt and black pants and we provide the rest. It's a good time! Must be over 21. Dish Crew (Saturday) - Two evening shifts available This group washes dishes after Saturday's meal. Washing dishes is sure to get that summer dirt out of your fingernails and soften your hands. Two shifts: 6 to 9 p.m. and 9 p.m. until midnight. You are welcome to sign up for the entire evening. Saturday Dinner Prep (Saturday - shifts: morning, afternoon and evening) This committee is broken into three: AM Prep, Dinner Preparation, and Plating. Volunteers generally sign up for one or two time slot(s) in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Shifts: AM Prep 9 to 11 a.m., Dinner Prep 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. (OVER 21), Plating 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.(OVER 21). Runners & Spotters (Friday, 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. & Saturday, 6:30 p.m. - ?) This committee is responsible for assisting with oral auctions on both Friday and Saturday nights. Volunteers identify auction bidders (spotters) as well as assist with the oral auction invoices (runners). Table Setters (Oct. 13, 9 - 11 a.m.) This is the group that makes the HIPOW dinner place settings look fabulous. Production Committee (help set up for the auction in the weeks before) Help with sorting, tagging auction items and arranging items on display tables. This starts two weeks before the HIPOW Auction. Flexible daytime hours. Contact Monroe Foundation Office if interested: 456-7970. Fish Bowl Attendants (Friday) Help with tickets for fish bowl raffle prizes. Students in 6th grade and above are welcome to volunteer, but must volunteer with an adult. Stage Construction/Display (Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5) Help with stage extension and building of display bleacher tables. Parking Attendants (Friday & Saturday) - This committee is responsible for assisting with outside parking Friday and/or Saturday evenings. Saturday volunteers must be over 21. Auction Set-up (Tables & Chairs) (Oct. 5 and 12) This committee is responsible for setting up auction display tables and dinner tables before the HIPOW event. Coffee & light breakfast provided. Saturday (Oct. 5) 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. and Saturday (Oct. 12) 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Clean Up Crew (Oct. 11 & 13) Volunteers help clean up after the HIPOW auctions. Involves moving auction items, tables and chairs. Get in a good workout! Friday (Oct. 11), 9 to 11:30 p.m. and Sunday (Oct. 13) starting at 7 a.m. Email hipowcoordinator(at)catholic-schools.org |
