"As a first year parent, I am so impressed with Catholic Schools of Fairbanks. The support and communication we received during the mandated school closure due to COVID-19 was outstanding. Educating my son at home was made easy with the technology and materials provided. We will definitely be continuing at ICS." - Jennifer Michel
Elementary School
Thank you for your interest in the Catholic Schools of Fairbanks. Our elementary school (Immaculate Conception School or ICS) has earned an outstanding reputation because we believe children achieve greater success in school when teacher, parents and student work together. In cooperation with you, our school strives to provide a learning environment where students are nurtured academically, spiritually and socially.
At the Catholic Schools of Fairbanks, we are concerned with the FACTS. That is, we understand our mission is built around our commitment to the following: Faith: An education informed by the Catholic faith, with daily religion lessons and prayer opportunities for attending mass and prayer gatherings, as well as weekly mass. Academic Excellence: A curriculum centered on core academics, with the teaching of religion, language arts, oral language, reading, writing, math, science, social studies, music and P.E. at each level. ICS Parent Guide to Curriculum Community: Students view themselves as a part of a greater whole within school, as well as the greater Fairbanks community and Diocese. Tradition: Recognition of our intellectual and moral heritage. Service: Commitment to the service of others as an integral aspect of Christ’s teaching and our school environment. ICS provides educational opportunities for students both within the classroom and throughout the school. Whether it be reading at Mass, gaining cooperative skills in physical education or music, or participating in the science fair, every experience and interaction is valued as a chance to grow as students and followers of Christ. |
