Thank you for considering the Catholic Schools of Fairbanks as an educational possibility for your family and taking the time to explore what we have to offer. Our high school (Monroe Catholic High School) has earned a reputation for providing an outstanding academic experience for its students within a community that emphasizes spirituality and community service.

We are concerned with the development of the whole person. An educational experience here will include:

Catholic values: Love for others in everything we do. A commitment to family values that we all share.

Academic Excellence: A rigorous curriculum centered on an academic core that prepares students for various opportunities after high school.

Community: A school family where students view themselves as a part of a greater whole within the school as well as the Diocese and the larger Fairbanks community.

Tradition: Recognition of our spiritual, intellectual, and civic heritage.

Service: Commitment to the service of others.

Monroe was founded in the educational tradition of the Jesuits in 1955. The guiding principle of the school is the education of the whole person. We challenge our students through academics, athletics, activities and clubs. We strive to create an atmosphere in which every student feels he/she can be successful and that anything is possible with the grace of God. Our smaller classes and smaller community allow us to better meet the individual needs of our students and families.
