Technology and the CSF iPad Program
The modern office stretches far beyond brick and mortar walls; it stretches around the world. In today's society, cell phones and tablets are ubiquitous. Nearly every student has one or both and almost all workplaces require employees to use them. When students arrive at college, they will be surrounded by technology. They will also be expected to use technology effectively. In fact, some colleges require digital portfolios and digital presentations before a student is even accepted to the school.
We strive to teach our students how how to use technology responsibly and effectively. How does one navigate the countless apps designed to entertain? How can we expect students to manage their time when faced with so many distractions? It is our belief that being exposed to these devices in a controlled environment like our school gives our students a competitive advantage. Parents and teachers both can guide students now before they head off to college or enter the workplace where the cost of distraction is much higher.
